Beneath Campo Valdés square, next to San Pedro church, lie Roman baths from the 1st–2nd century AD. They're proof that the first Roman settlement of Gijón stood right here, in today's Cimavilla.

The semi-underground museum reveals the hypocausts (underfloor heating) and the different bathing rooms. A short, fascinating visit to understand where the city comes from.
