Isabel la Católica is Gijón's great city park, right by the mouth of the Piles river and San Lorenzo beach. Its ponds, bridges and meadows make it the city's green lung.
It's famous for its wildlife: swans, ducks, geese and peacocks wander among visitors. It has playgrounds and is perfect for a quiet stroll or to round off a day at the beach.
