San Lorenzo beach has waves nearly all year and surf schools for beginners. There's also paddleboarding, kayaking and boat trips along the coast.
The Sella river descent (Arriondas–Ribadesella) by canoe is the Asturian classic. Nearby you'll find canyoning, via ferratas and mountain-bike trails across the hills.
There are options for beginners and experts alike. Book ahead in summer and trust local companies with qualified guides.
