The Lakes of Covadonga and the Picos de Europa are the star getaway. On the way, Cangas de Onís and the Covadonga sanctuary.
Llanes, Ribadesella and the fishing town of Lastres offer cliffs, blowholes and spectacular beaches. To the west, Cudillero is the coast's most photogenic village.
Oviedo (old town and pre-Romanesque) and Avilés (with the Niemeyer Centre) are half an hour away and round off any trip.
Oviedo (30 min), Cudillero and the west coast, or up to Covadonga and the Lakes. For the Lakes in high season you must take the bus from Cangas de Onís.
