Cudillero is the quintessential postcard fishing village: colourful houses clustered in an amphitheatre tumbling down to a tiny harbour. It's one of the most photographed sights in Asturias.

Get lost in its steep lanes and try the fresh fish in the harbour square. About 45 minutes west of Gijón.
