Taller adultos: rosas comestibles
📍 Gijón · View on map
We usually think of roses in terms of scent and colour, but they are also edible. This workshop at the Atlantic Botanical Garden steps into rose cookery with Germán Montoya, who explains how to make jams and ketchup using petals and rose hips.
The best part comes at the end: there is a tasting of some of those products, so you leave knowing what to aim for when you try the recipes at home.
Montoya co-founded La Flor del Agua, an organic farm and rose garden in the Trubia valleys specialising in edible and aromatic roses, and together with Mario K. Gigerl has developed a collection of varieties suited to the Asturian climate. The session is for ages 13 and up, costs 10 € and has twenty places with advance booking.
