La sidra: elaboración y cata
📍 Gijón · View on map
We drink cider often and know little about what happens between the apple and the glass. This session at the Atlantic Botanical Garden goes through how natural, sparkling and table cider are made, and the differences in process that explain why they taste so different.
Then comes the practical part: a tasting of all three so you learn what to look for and leave with your own criteria next time you order in a sidrería.
It is led by oenologist Tano Collada, one of the most experienced names in Asturian cider, a specialist in apple varieties and in how cider evolves during production, who combines technical work with outreach. For ages 18 and up, twenty places, 10 €, booking required.
