Jornadas gastronómicas menú del indiano. Oviedo
📍 Oviedo · View on map
From 11 to 21 September, several restaurants in Oviedo serve the Menú del Indiano, a set menu designed by two-Michelin-star chef Nacho Manzano that pays tribute to the historic ties between Asturias and the Americas.
The menu is built around seasonal ingredients that first reached Asturias from across the Atlantic — potato, corn and vanilla — combined with traditional Asturian dishes: fabes beans with pantruque to start, Asturian beef and Asturcelta pork meatballs with mashed potato and Principality cheese as a main, and an apple tart with vanilla ice cream for dessert, all served with Asturian cider or wine.
Each participating restaurant is free to add its own interpretation of the recipe, so the result varies from one venue to another within a shared theme.
