Mural de Eliza Southwood: En busca de lo profundo
Presentation of Eliza Southwood's ephemeral mural at La Danzatería, part of Danza Xixón, with an open meet-the-artist session. Free admission.
Danza Xixón reaches its 26th edition as an unmissable date for movement-based arts in Gijón. Since 2001, the festival — run by the FMCE and the Universidad Popular — has grown into a meeting point for companies, artists and audiences, betting on the boldest contemporary dance languages. The Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto anchors a programme running throughout October, with shows, encounters and activities designed to bring movement as a form of expression to all kinds of audiences.
