Chey Jurado, a self-taught dancer since 2005 and winner of RTVE's 2022 Ojo Crítico Dance Award, leads his internationally toured workshop Lado opuesto at the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto. The session starts from simple concepts, seeks out their opposites and puts them into play through a push-and-pull exercise based on tensions, weights, spaces and rhythms, exploring new ways to move, train and build characters.
Aimed at professional dancers, dance students or people with intermediate to advanced level in any movement discipline, wearing comfortable clothes and socks or bare feet. Price: €8 from age 16, €4 for ages 12-15. Limited spots, prior registration required.
