The Artisan and Organic Market holds its September edition on Gijón's Plaza Mayor over the weekend of 12-13. A monthly gathering that turns the square into a showcase of Asturian tradition, framed by historic buildings with the marina next door.
The stalls combine handmade crafts — ceramics, wood, leather, jewellery and textiles — with food from local organic producers: cheeses, honey, cured meats, fruit and vegetables. The atmosphere invites you to wander, chat with the artisans and join the workshops and tastings that usually accompany the market. Free entry.
