Intentos: Román Corbato

📍 Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto

At the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto we present Intentos, a project by Román Corbato (Gijón, 1980), a visual artist, researcher and lecturer at the University of Vigo, with a PhD in Contemporary Art and a background in architecture.

Through an expanded approach to sculpture -including installation, video, photography and drawing- Corbato explores the relationships between people and the places they inhabit, reshaping the connections between contexts, objects and symbols. The show is curated by Natalia Alonso Arduengo.

We recommend this exhibition to anyone interested in Asturian contemporary art. Open to the general public and free of charge, it runs from 17 September to 1 November 2026, opening on 26 September at 11:00, with an artist and curator talk the same day at 19:00.
