Visita guiada: Evaristo Valle y Florencio Rodríguez, entre la tradición y la modernidad

📍 Museo Evaristo Valle, Somió, Gijón

The Evaristo Valle Museum is running a guided visit focused on the relationship between Gijón painter Evaristo Valle (1873-1951) and his patron, the indiano Florencio Rodríguez. It's led by Pablo Rodríguez Fernández de la Vega, an art history graduate, who offers a personal take on the artist's work set against the commercial and industrial boom of his era in Asturias.

The tour takes in pieces where Valle portrays bourgeois life, rural scenes and the seafaring world, with the mix of realism, satire and bucolic evocation so typical of his style. It lasts around an hour and capacity is limited to 12 people, so booking ahead at evaristovalle.com is recommended. It takes place on Friday 28 August at 6pm at the museum, in Somió (Gijón).
