The Jovellanos Birthplace Museum, right in the centre of Gijón, offers a free guided tour through its permanent collection, a journey through 19th- and 20th-century Asturian art alongside major 17th- and 18th-century European schools. To mark the centenary of sculptor Amador's birth, the visit also explores his career through sculptures, studies and collages. Booking ahead is recommended, as places are limited to 25 people and the visit lasts about an hour.
