Taller adultos: postales con flores
📍 Gijón · View on map
The Christmas cards in this workshop are not printed: they are hammered. The Japanese tataki-zome technique (also known as hapa-zome) transfers the juices and pigments of flowers and leaves onto paper or fabric through precise taps of a hammer, and it is the basis of the cards made during the session.
Alongside the printing there is floral composition, painting and small stamp impressions, so every card ends up different. It is a way of celebrating the immediacy and simplicity of nature and, incidentally, of having your Christmas greetings ready before December.
It is led by Verónica G. Ardura, a visual artist and illustrator with nearly two decades of creating and teaching, and Susana Viña, at the Atlantic Botanical Garden. For ages 13 and up, fifteen places, 10 €, booking required.
