Solomamma follows Edith, a forty-year-old journalist who decides to become a single mother through sperm donation. Raising a child alone proves far harder than she imagined, and fear starts to creep in just as she unexpectedly discovers the donor's identity. Using the excuse of an interview for the newspaper she works for, she sets out to track him down, a meeting that ends up upending not just her life but everyone around her. Directed by Janicke Askevold, this Norwegian production won Best Screenplay, Best Actress and the ACCEC critics' award at the 2026 BCN Film Fest, and also screened at the 2025 Locarno Festival. Starring Lisa Loven Kongsli, it is shown in the original Norwegian, Finnish and English with Spanish subtitles, not recommended for under-16s, on Sunday 22 November at 7pm at the Paraninfo de la Laboral. General admission €4, reduced €3.
