DANZA - spira
📍 Centro Niemeyer, Avilés · View on map
Centro Niemeyer hosts the second date of its Umbrales habitados series with "Spira", a piece by Asturian artist Eduardo Vallejo performed by Michela Lanteri, part of the Ogmia project. Drawing on echoes of myths such as Melusine, the Ouroboros and the Leontocephaline, the piece journeys through strange, dark landscapes where beauty appears as a form of resistance, raising questions about who we are, where we're heading, and what we might become.
Running around 50 minutes, the work invites the audience to explore human singularity and the beauty of transformation through contemporary dance. It is recommended for ages 13 and up.
It is staged in the Sala Club at Centro Niemeyer, Gijón. Tickets: €12 (€10 for Club Cultura members), and the show qualifies for the Bono Cultural Joven at the box office.
