Mieres town hall organises a free guided tour of Mieres del Camín, starting from the Pozu Barreo mining shaft. The route begins in the town's founding quarter and links some of its most emblematic corners — the town hall, the Teodoro Cuesta cultural centre, the covered market — before ending at the popular Plaza de Requexu. A leisurely walk of around two and a half hours, guided in Spanish, uncovering the stories and curiosities hidden behind the monuments of central Mieres. Places are limited and booking is required 48 hours in advance.
