Rutas turísticas 2026: “ruta de la revolución de octubre de 1934” (3OCT)

On Saturday 3 October, Mieres Town Council's Tourism Department runs a free guided walk through the old town to visit the sites linked to the October 1934 Revolution. It starts at 5pm from Plaza de La Pasera, in Mieres del Camín.
Over roughly two hours, the route passes the Parish of San Juan Bautista, the Casino de Mieres, the former Cine Novedades, the Pozo Balanza railway tunnel, the Town Hall, the old police station, the Palacio de Camposagrado and the Teatro del Orfeón Mierense, among other spots where the most intense episodes of those days unfolded. A Spanish-speaking guide explains the historical context at each stop.
The activity is free, but places are limited: booking is required at least 48 hours in advance through the council website or the Tourist Office.
