📍 Centro Polivalente Integrado de Lugones · View on map
The Centro Polivalente Integrado in Lugones hosts the exhibition "Compromiso y Memoria. Quince años de Trece Rosas Asturias", reviewing the association's most significant work over fifteen years championing the Democratic Memory Law and memory culture in Asturias.
The exhibition is organised into four sections: an introduction to the show's motivation and to the Trece Rosas; a timeline of the Trece Rosas Asturias Award, with fourteen panels dedicated to its recipients, including Cristino García, Baltasar Garzón and journalist Nieves Concostrina; the project "El Fin de las Horas", linked to memory recovery at the El Sucu civil cemetery (Ceares, Gijón); and a final room with press cuttings, photographs and teaching material on memory-related routes and visits.
On Wednesday 23 September, at 19:30, the exhibition is complemented by a guided tour and a screening of the documentary "El fin de las horas", filmed at the Ceares civil cemetery with testimonies from relatives of those repressed. Admission is free.
