Factoría Cultural in Avilés hosts a screening of the documentary El género de la democracia (The Gender of Democracy), by Cecilia Barriga, followed by a talk with the director and some of the people who appear in the film. The documentary looks at the tensions between gender, youth and democratic participation, opening up a conversation about how younger generations relate to institutions at a time of deep change. The session is part of the public programme of the Bienal Climática: arte, industria y territorio, which links this reflection to the climate crisis and young people's role in shaping collective responses. It runs for about two hours and is free with prior booking.
