Premios Princesa de Asturias: Pueblo Ejemplar en Llanes

On Saturday 24 October, the day after the Teatro Campoamor ceremony, the King and Queen travel to Llanes to present the 2026 Exemplary Town of Asturias award, which this year goes to the Cofradía de Pescadores Santa Ana. As is tradition, the visit also includes Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.

The Cofradía, heir to the old Cofradía de Mareantes de San Nicolás (dating back to around 1350 and confirmed by the Catholic Monarchs in 1480), receives this recognition for a lifetime tied to the sea in this fishing town. The event takes place in the streets of Llanes, with the exact time to be confirmed closer to the date.
