Every summer, Gijón's Atlantic Botanical Garden turns magical after dark with Noches Mágicas, a theatrical night walk that in 2026 reaches its 23rd edition, running from 21 to 30 August with two sessions each night, at 10pm and 11:30pm. A mysterious host leads us through the undergrowth to meet mythological characters who pop up among the plants with humour, live music and plenty of imagination. This year's novelty is that the route stretches for the first time into the La Isla estate, so even regular visitors will find new corners to explore. If the weather turns bad, the garden offers an alternative show, «El beso de la Serena». Tickets cost 15 euros (plus a one-euro booking fee if bought online), and children under five get in free. You can buy them at the Jovellanos Theatre box office, at the Botanical Garden itself, or through the city council website. It's a different night out to enjoy as a family during Gijón's summer nights.
