María Luisa García Manso, assistant lecturer at the University of Oviedo's Department of Spanish Philology, traces the presence of women from the past on today's theatre stages.

The talk doesn't just look backwards: it focuses on how those figures and stories carry over into contemporary theatre, and what remains of them when they're staged today. A good opportunity for anyone curious about theatre and the role women have played in it.

The talk is on Friday 11 September at 19:30, at Club La Nueva España, in Oviedo.
