The Artisan and Organic Market returns to Gijón's Plaza Mayor on the weekend of 15-16 August. It is one of the city's best-loved monthly gatherings: a showcase of Asturian tradition a few steps from the Cantabrian Sea and the marina.

Its stalls mix handmade ceramics, wood, leather, jewellery and textiles with certified organic food: cheeses, honey, cured meats, fruit and vegetables from local producers. Beyond shopping, it is a place to chat with the artisans and often enjoy workshops, live demonstrations and tastings. Free entry.
