"Llamando a conceyu" by the Grupu de baille San Felix de Candás takes a step forward in renewing the union of traditional music and dance, creating a new kind of street parade that, accompanied by the spoken word, comes close to street theatre. The music and dance represent the words, dreams and memories of one person.
The piece speaks of the open councils that played a key role in the social organisation of villages, and adapts to each place, this time Gijón. It starts on 24 October at 12:30 from Plaza del Marqués and is free, with registration from 7 October (50 places).
