Itinerario de patrimonio: hábitat obrero en Llaranes y La Camocha
📍 Lugar de encuentro: parada de autobús de la Gota de Leche (C/ Palacio Valdés, 2) · View on map
Led by Aurora Valdés Caso, this itinerary compares two ways of organising workers’ housing in industrial Asturias in the second half of the 20th century: the planned steelworks village of Llaranes and the mining colony of La Camocha. It studies domestic architecture and community facilities as tools of social hierarchy, ideological control and identity.
It takes place on Saturday 28 November. It leaves from the Gota de Leche bus stop (C/ Palacio Valdés, 2), 10:00 to 14:00; arrive 15 minutes early. It costs €12, has 20 places and enrolment runs 27–30 October from 8:30 at actividades.gijon.es or in the Gijón app.
