The Nicanor Piñole Museum offers a free guided walk to discover the Gijón that the painter portrayed in his early 20th-century urban landscapes. Starting from the industrial expansion the city experienced in those years, the route retraces the urban planning and architecture of the period, pointing out some of the most emblematic corners of present-day Gijón as well as others that have since disappeared. Lasting 90 minutes and starting from the museum itself, the activity is limited to 25 people, so booking ahead is recommended.
