As part of the Fiesta del Cielo 2026, the Gijón Amateur Radio Union (URG) is running the 5th Fiesta del Cielo Diploma for the fifth year in a row: an activity that carries the city's name over the airwaves from various amateur radio stations, running around the clock from 15 to 28 July. This year brings a new addition: an introductory workshop on amateur radio for anyone curious about the hobby. The activity is free and requires no registration — just tune in or drop by the active stations during those days.
