The Escuela de Comercio hosts "Soñando con leones" (Dreaming of Lions), October's fiction film of the month in the film series organised by Gijón's Centro de Imagen, with free entry until the venue is full.

Gilda has spinal cord cancer and, after several failed suicide attempts, seeks help from an underground company that organises talks on euthanasia for terminally ill people. There she meets Amadeu, a shy young man attending for similar reasons, and together they explore a relationship shaped by illness and the search for meaning.

Directed by Portugal's Paolo Marinou-Blanco, the 2024 film screens in its original language with subtitles and runs for 88 minutes.
