Exposición "colores desde el silencio" de ángel valdés sánchez
📍 Ribadesella · View on map
The Casa de Cultura in Ribadesella opens its doors to the work of Ángel Valdés Sánchez, one of the most prominent deaf painters with the widest reach on the contemporary art scene, both nationally and internationally. The show brings together a careful selection of his most representative watercolours.
Born in Madrid in 1965, Valdés showed innate talent from a very young age and trained under Matías Moreno, a disciple of Pablo Picasso. After moving into oil painting and earning recognition, including selection in 1992 for the Sorbonne's International Salon of Fine Arts, he turned his career towards watercolour, the discipline that has defined the longest and most mature stretch of his artistic life. Ribadesella, his chosen summer destination for years, now hosts this exhibition, open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 2pm and 5:30pm to 8pm, until 30 September.
