Exposición Centenario AMADOR (1926-2026)

📍 Museo Casa Natal de Jovellanos · View on map

The Museo Casa Natal de Jovellanos marks the centenary of the birth of sculptor Amador with an exhibition offering a thorough overview of his work, built on a dialogue between pieces from the museum's collection and those preserved by his descendants.

The show brings together finished sculptures, studies, collages, drawings and prints that give insight into the creative world of Amador Rodríguez Menéndez (Ceuta, 1926 - Madrid, 2001), linked since childhood to Cangas del Narcea, his family's home town, and regarded as one of the leading figures of 20th-century Spanish sculpture.

We recommend this visit to anyone interested in contemporary Spanish art. Admission is free and the exhibition runs from 7 May to 4 October 2026 at the Museo Casa Natal de Jovellanos, on Plaza de Jovellanos.
