Following the screening of 'Los monaguillos', Polish director Piotr Domalewski talks with the audience on Friday 2 October at the Paraninfo de la Laboral, as part of the Cine Polska showcase. Domalewski (Poland, 1983) started out as an actor before training in directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, and his filmography — from 'Silent Night', which won the Golden Lions in Gdynia, to the Netflix production 'Hyacinth' — offers a sensitive portrait of family conflict and social tension in contemporary Poland.
The talk digs into 'Los monaguillos', his latest work, honoured with several awards at Gdynia and Zlín. Entry is free with a ticket to the film screening and the session offers on-demand hearing accessibility.
