Itinerario "El Gijón/Xixón de la Guerra Civil"

📍 Museo Nicanor Piñole · View on map

This guided walk starts at the Nicanor Piñole Museum, in the 'Testimonios de la retaguardia' room, which displays a selection of the works the painter created during the Spanish Civil War. From there, drawing on photographer Toño Huerta's work 'Xixón, 1936-1937', the route leads through several urban spaces especially affected by the conflict, stopping at features from that period that are still visible in the city today. The activity is free, with places limited to 25 people and prior booking recommended; it lasts around 90 minutes and is supported by the Regional Government's Department of Culture, Language Policy and Tourism.
