L'Arena civic centre closes El Cine del Centro's flamenco month with 'Los Tarantos' (Francisco Rovira Veleta, 1963, 83'), a Roma take on 'Romeo and Juliet' based on Alfredo Mañas' play. At a wedding, Rafael 'el Taranto' (Daniel Martín) and Juana 'la Zoronga' (Sara Lezana) pledge eternal love, unaware they belong to two rival Roma families in Barcelona, the Tarantos and the Zorongos, whose feud will seal their fate. Featuring Carmen Amaya. Not recommended for under-13s. Free entry until the venue is full.
