«Ramón y Cajal: dibujos en la retina» (Luis Gómez Juanes, 2025, 97 min) is a documentary about the Aragonese Nobel laureate that explores his fascination with images as a bridge between the reality of the physical world and the one built inside the brain. It offers an integrated look at his artistic and scientific sides, told through researchers, artists, historians, family members and other experts who see Cajal as a visionary reaching beyond his own science.

In one of the laboratories featured in the film, a machine answers Cajal's last question: how do images form in the brain? It screens on Friday 2 October at 7pm at the Escuela de Comercio, closing out the Ciclo de Cine Científico, with free access until the venue fills up.
