What happens when the human brain and artificial intelligence converge? «El futuro de la mente» (Ruth Chao, 2019, 55 min) explores how brain-machine communication could boost our cognitive abilities and give rise to the first augmented humans, with technologies capable of linking brains and reading — even manipulating — thoughts.

The documentary raises the debate around neurorights, essential for regulating the privacy of our thoughts amid a neurotechnological revolution set to transform how we understand the self. It screens on Tuesday 29 September at 7pm at the Escuela de Comercio, as part of the Ciclo de Cine Científico, with free access until the venue fills up.
