The Nicolás Soria tunnel in Ciudad Naranco is one of those places people walk through every day without looking. Over two days, the Parees festival proposes repainting it with whoever wants to take part, turning it into something worth looking at on the way through.

The starting point is the four Asturian seasons: memories and everyday landscapes are translated into colour ranges and abstract compositions that are then painted straight onto the wall. Along the way participants learn the basics of the NCS (Natural Color System) and leave its codes written on the wall itself, so that restoring it later is straightforward.

Every decision about layout and style is taken collectively, with the neighbourhood as the author. The workshop is led by Asociación Yetooponese and Raposu Roxu, with support from Asociación Activa Ciudad Naranco.
