Cinerama XXI: Los ilusos 13+13

Cinerama XXI welcomes Jonás Trueba to the Escuela de Comercio, who will present Los ilusos 13+13 and take part afterwards in a talk with the audience. Los ilusos premiered in 2013 and was the founding film of Los Ilusos Films; thirteen years on, Trueba has recovered colour footage shot at the time and never seen, and instead of replacing the original black-and-white version he lets both coexist within the same film. What it tells — León wants to make a film that doesn't exist yet and, while he waits, walks around Madrid, drifts in and out of cinemas, talks, drinks and falls in love — remains the same and yet isn't anymore, and the new version adds a layer about the passing of time and what it means to return to one's own work.
