The Cinerama XXI cycle continues at the Escuela de Comercio with Ruben Östlund's Force Majeure. A Swedish family is skiing in the Alps when an avalanche crashes onto the hotel terrace: Ebba tries to shield the children while Tomas flees with his phone in hand. The snow doesn't bury them, but that gesture lingers, impossible to erase, and from it the holiday turns into a meticulous demolition of the couple and of the ideas of strength and protection the family was built on. Östlund films the discomfort with comic precision in a film that won the Un Certain Regard Jury Prize at Cannes 2014.
