Cinerama XXI screens Wong Kar-wai's In the Mood for Love at the Escuela de Comercio. Hong Kong, 1962: Chow Mo-wan, a newspaper editor, and Su Li-zhen, a secretary, move into adjoining rooms on the same day, while their spouses spend more and more time away from home until small clues lead to a certainty — that they're having an affair together. Chow and Su start meeting to understand how that story could have begun, but their shared walks and dinners open up an intimacy they don't know how to live without becoming what hurt them. Wong Kar-wai films desire through restrained glances and suspended time in an enduring masterpiece; Tony Leung won best actor at Cannes 2000.
