Chey Jurado presents Asceta at Plaza de los Jardines del Náutico: a hermit who isolates himself to find himself, without realising that the deeper he goes within, the more visible he becomes, and that accepting this attention takes him further from his purpose. Like a pilgrim moving away from the noise on an introspective quest, the piece invites us to look inward while still moving forward, step by step, on our own path.

Direction, performance and choreography by Chey Jurado himself, with musical direction by Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto. A brief 15-minute piece, free to attend. In case of rain, it moves to the Museo del Ferrocarril.
