Arte y discapacidad: bestiario para reimaginarnos sesión 1
📍 Gijón · View on map
First session of a ceramics workshop for adults with disabilities, in which each participant builds their own beast. The starting point is a simple, far from innocent question: how do we see ourselves, how do others see us and how would we like to be seen.
The reference is Portuguese figurative pottery, particularly from the Barcelos region, where the craft shapes imaginary characters inherited from folk narratives. In this first meeting the work is drawing: exploring those personal beasts and defining their faces, bodies and quirks before moving on to clay.
It is led by Colectivo Berde with Martín Huamanchumo at the Atlantic Botanical Garden. There are ten places, it costs 10 € and requires advance booking. The second session takes place in November.
