The Villa de Xixón International Bagpipe Band Festival returns to Gijón with its opening day of activities at the Jardines del Náutico. It's a well-established summer date devoted to Asturian and Celtic roots music, bringing together bagpipe bands from across Asturias and abroad for a programme of concerts, talks and workshops open to everyone, as a warm-up for Gijón's Semana Grande.
