Laboral Cinemateca screens this French dramedy inspired by Liliane Bettencourt, the L'Oréal heiress once known as the richest woman in the world. When an elderly woman makes a huge donation to a young artist, the gesture triggers a political scandal involving a former president, and her daughter sets out to uncover the truth.
Isabelle Huppert leads the cast alongside Marina Foïs, Laurent Lafitte, Raphaël Personnaz and André Marcon, directed by Thierry Klifa. The film arrives with six nominations and the Best Actor award at the 2026 César Awards, plus two nominations at the 2025 Lumières Awards. It screens in French with Spanish subtitles, recommended for ages 12 and up.
The screening takes place on Friday 4 December at 7:00 pm at the Paraninfo de la Laboral, part of the Laboral Cinemateca programme curated by the Gijón/Xixón International Film Festival. General admission costs €4, with a reduced rate of €3 for members of Club Cultura Asturias, Pasaporte Cultural, the Uniovi community and Carnet Joven Asturias.
