Jazz Xixón brings the Iván 'Melon' Lewis Trio to the Teatro Jovellanos, featuring Lewis himself on piano, Georvis Pico on drums and Yandi Martínez on double bass. The concert presents Luces y Sombras ('Lights and Shadows'), an album that reflects the pianist's artistic maturity through the contrasts that shape his music: strength and calm, clarity and introspection.
With an original repertoire, the trio balances technical precision with deep expressiveness, building a sound world that invites close listening. Melon Lewis blends his Cuban rhythmic heritage with a contemporary, universal outlook, in a show that isn't after virtuoso dazzle but shared emotion.
