FETUMI, una gran fiesta minera en el Pozo Sotón

Pozo Sotón, in San Martín del Rey Aurelio, once again becomes the stage for FETUMI, the Mining and Industrial Tourism Fair that HUNOSA holds on the first weekend of October to celebrate the heritage of the mining valleys. It reaches its tenth edition this year, with a programme designed for all ages.

There will be vermouth-hour concerts from Girls to The Front on Saturday and Silvidos y Gemidos on Sunday, alongside the third Mining Territory Food Market, featuring around twenty producers and tastings, plus live cooking shows. For the first time, the fair includes a display of "entibadores", the traditional technique of shoring up underground galleries with timber, together with a dedicated workshop and a mining-themed treasure hunt for children.

The programme is rounded off with free guided tours of the Mining Memory and Experience Centre, a parade by the Gaiteros del Carbón bagpipe band, and food trucks to grab a bite around the mine site.
