After the screening of Aro berria, its director, Irati Gorostidi Agirretxe (Valle de Egüés, 1988), talks with the audience at the Paraninfo de la Laboral. Trained in art and film in Bilbao and Barcelona and a Fulbright scholar in New York, her recent work focuses on the labour movement and the community experiences that emerged in the Basque Country amid the social struggles of the 1970s. Her short film Contadores premiered at the Cannes Semaine de la Critique in 2023 and won Best Short Film at the D'A Film Festival, while Aro berria, her debut feature, received a special jury mention in the New Directors section at San Sebastián. The talk is included with the screening ticket and is held in collaboration with the Rizoma Festival.
