«Born to Be Blue» (Canada, 2015, 97 min) is a biopic of the legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker in the 1960s, as he fights to rebuild his career and his life. It is screened in the original language with Spanish subtitles as part of the «Jazz in November» strand of El Cine del Centro, on Wednesday 4 November at 7:00 pm at the Ateneo de La Calzada community centre. Admission is free until the room is full, so it is worth arriving a little early. A good excuse to enjoy cinema with your neighbours without leaving the neighbourhood.
