Both spots offer a clear western horizon, free of buildings or hills that could block the view. It's only safe to remove certified eclipse glasses during the exact moments of totality; keep them on at every other stage. The date also falls within Semana Grande, so if you already have a good view from home, it's worth avoiding travel that day given the expected crowds.
